We all have desires. There are things we do and things we want to do. Hardly do these two coincide. Although everyone tries to fulfill their desires, it seems only a few make it. Regardless, there is a particular straightforward 3-step technique we can all use to make our desires happen.

In the previous article in this series, we talked about maintaining a continuous stream of thoughts in one direction. That is the fundamental of how the Law of attraction works. But to be more specific, you can bring this down into three separate we can all take to make our desires come true:

STEP 1: DECIDE WHAT YOU WANT

If you desire to go to a place, you first need to know what and where this place is. Similarly, if you want something in your life, you can get there only when you clearly know what it is. The possibility of arriving at your destination does not arise if you don’t know your destination.

That is simple. We all know what we want in the bigger picture. After all, every action we take is fueled by our desires, whether we are aware of it or not. That applies even to things we have to do. Because somewhere in our minds we want to have a comfortable and modern life, we decide to work 12 hours per day, seven days a week. Either that is a conscious decision or an unconscious one.

The hard part is to keep your desires stable over a long time. You can experiment with that. For example, you can ask your best friend what they want now from their lives. The answer would differ from what they wanted one year ago or even three months ago. If what you want is so big that it takes time to happen, consistency is key.

STEP 2: ACT AS IF YOUR DESIRE HAS COME TRUE

Without a doubt, this is the most challenging and contradictory step in the mechanics of the Law. But if you think a bit about it, it can start to make sense. After all, it is called the Law of Attraction because you attract what you already have inside you. Even if what is inside you is prompted by your imagination.

For example, you may want to be loved in this life. Simply desiring and thinking about it will not do. But when you start to act as if you receive this love from everyone and everything around, then things get into place. You start feeling love inside, and you hence attract love from outside. That is how the Law works.

If, on the other hand, your actions contradict what you want to receive, then you are at a dead end. For example, you may want to be rich. You will never be rich if you are afraid to spend money. When you act as if money is never an issue in your life, it will never be. If you, however, behave as if you are rich, you are in for a treat. The Law is fair. It only gives you more of what is inside you; it does not care if that is good or bad.

STEP 3: FEEL GOOD ABOUT THE LAW AND YOUR LIFE

That is the last and most important step of the Law. Whether you think this Law is true or not, if you decide to use it, it works best if you are confident about its efficiency. When you feel good about the Law and your life, what you want will come.

The moment you have any doubts about the efficiency of the Law, you are undermining your efforts. It is like using the Law to help you prove that the very same Law is not working.

So if you think the Law is just fancy talk, then there are other ways of getting what you want. Hard work, for example. If you, however, are open to learning new techniques, then your positive mindset and outlook toward the Law can be of immense help. All you have to do is try it and see if it works.

Takeaway

  • To apply the Law, first, decide what you want, then act as if your desire has come true, and finally feel good about the Law and your life.
  • It is best to be patient and sensible when you test the Law. If what you want is so big that it takes time to happen, consistency is key.
  • The Law is fair. It only gives you more of what is already inside you; it does not care if that is good or bad, pleasant or unpleasant.
